White Eagle Gourd Society Dance

TOWAOC, Colo. – The Summer Celebration White Eagle Gourd Society Dance, celebrating 49 years and honoring all veterans, is Saturday, June 20, at the Ute Mountain Ute Recreation Center from 12-8 p.m. Head staff includes: MC, Elvin Keeswood; head gourd dancer, Caleb David Johnson; head singer, Ramone Yazzie Sr.; arena director, Jacob Salabiye; water boy, Nizhoni P. Edsitty; and color guard, Shiprock Veterans Organization (Bobby Negale Sr.). Gourd societies, royalties, and vendors are invited. Bring own chairs.
