Western contractor to the mining industry has an opening for an experienced Operations Magazine Foreman.
This position is based in New Mexico. Essential duties include loading of bulk materials and performing routine and emergency maintenance on vehicles and equipment used at mine site. The Foreman also provides a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure operational safety culture, product quality, and processes are never compromised. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed. Ensure plant compliance with all legal requirements and customer requirements. Customers include all internal customer base and plant employees including both Operations & Maintenance employees.
Requirements include but not limited to: No DUI within the past 5 years, no felonies, must be 21 years of age, must have valid U.S. driver’s license for at least 12 months, background check and drug screen is required. Ensure plant compliance with all legal requirements and customer requirements. Customers include all Southwest Energy customer base and plant employees including both Operations & Maintenance employees. Minimum of three years’ experience in coaching, mentoring, and training employees and in direct management of teams of at least 5 employees. Demonstrated expertise in technical blasting skills, including but not limited to ability to correctly modify explosive product type, quantity, and stem height, and determine timing based on varied field conditions

7. Maintains written reports for submission, acts as a resource person.
8. Complies with Federal, State and Agency rules regulations and policies.
9. Attend IEP meetings to discuss goals, assessments results and recommendations.
10. Assist with Child Find activities and performs other responsibilities as assigned.
11. Extended School Year (ESY) services if required.
