Pirates, Cardinals, Trojans, come out on top

Trying to stop the Valley girls’ basketball team at this year’s Arizona Class 2A tournament was like trying to stop a fast-moving freight train – move, or get ran over.

The St. Michael Lady Cardinals have been patiently waiting for this day.

The final curtain for the 2017 Arizona state boys and girls basketball tournament came to a close on Saturday.
