Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye announced Wednesday that he and his wife have ended their relationship because of all the recent media reports.
The short statement read:
“President and Dr. Chung agreed that this scandalous episode regarding her in various publications has violated her desire to remain private and not be involved in Navajo affairs.
“All relationships between myself and Dr. Chung have ended. There are no relationships that exist between her and I anymore. Dr. Chung doesn’t want to be subjected to media exposure.”
Begaye has been under constant criticism for not publicly speaking about his relationship with Chung.
